Job summary

A leading data and AI company is seeking a Data Platform Solutions Architect to support clients with their big data challenges. This role involves project delivery, architecture design, and collaboration with customers to enhance their data strategies. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in data engineering, proficiency in Python or Scala, and knowledge of cloud environments. This position offers opportunities to guide strategic projects and provide high-level support, while traveling to clients around 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
• Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps.
• Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
• Documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact customer projects, design reference architectures.
• Work closely with Engagement Managers and customers to define project scope.
• Guide strategic customers through their big data journeys.
• Provide thought leadership on solution design and implementation strategies.
• Serve as an escalation point for operational issues.
• Partner with cross-functional Databricks teams to align on milestones.
• Provide implementation insights to Databricks Product and Support teams.
