Our client, a leading regulator within the public sector, is looking for a Senior Data Modeller for an ASAP start. You will act as our client's internal Data Modelling expert, providing advice on specialist data modelling matters at all levels, including Executive Committees, internal Directorates, leadership, and other key stakeholders.

You will also serve as the focal point and expert in a multi-disciplinary team within a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model, planning and overseeing work deliverables.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead the determination of data layer requirements by analyzing organizational and market needs and evaluating current systems.
• Set standards for data modelling and design tools and techniques, advising on their application.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define data strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Lead the development, validation, publication, and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data knowledge requirements.
• Lead the creation and development of the client's enterprise data model.
• Design and maintain metadata repositories to enable the organization to find and understand data assets.
• Define, manage, and maintain data models using industry-standard tools and techniques across disparate data streams.
• Ensure architectural and engineering concepts are embedded to design solutions meeting operational requirements such as scalability, security, reliability, and flexibility.

Key Outputs and Deliverables:

• Lead the delivery of strategic assets like Metadata Repositories, Enterprise Logical Data Model (LDM), logical, conceptual, and physical data models, and data flow diagrams.
• Define and embed a consistent approach to data modelling throughout the organization.
• Ensure quality, traceability, transparency, usability, and cost-effectiveness in modelling activities.
• Evaluate, develop, and maintain metadata repositories, logical data models, physical database structures, and queries, with expert knowledge of SQL.
• Mentor and upskill team members in OLAP Modelling.
• Assist in developing strategies for enterprise data models.
