Job summary

Alter Domus is seeking a senior solution architect in London to define data and integration architectures across a complex service landscape. You will design transition patterns and data ownership models, ensuring contracts and standards across multiple domains while working with domain architects and platform teams.

• Design transition patterns enabling two environments to operate together.
• Establish data ownership models, system boundaries, and integration contracts.
• Support wave and delivery planning with executable architectural designs.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data flows and dependencies.
• Provide clear architectural options and trade-offs for complex decisions.

Salary: £24,000 - 64,000 per year

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience in solution architecture with a strong focus on data architecture, system integration and API design, and complex application landscapes
• Experience in large-scale transformation programs, such as service transitions, carve-outs, or M&A environments
• Experience with multi-platform coexistence scenarios
• Solid understanding of data ownership and governance
• Solid understanding of event-driven and API-based architectures
• Solid understanding of transitional and hybrid architectures
• Ability to operate in in-flight programs with evolving scope and constraints
• Senior architect mindset with the ability to think in systems rather than isolated components
• Ability to reason across business, data, and technology
• Comfort working in complex, evolving environments
• Ability to balance architectural rigor with delivery pragmatism
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers, PMs, and leadership
• Ability to turn complex transitions into structured, executable designs

• Provide clear architectural options and trade-offs for complex decisions
• Work closely with domain architects, PMs, technical leads, and platform teams
• Ensure architectural consistency across domains and delivery streams
