Amazon, through the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team in EMEA, seeks a Data Foundations specialist to help startups adopt AWS technologies. • Collaborate with Database, Analytics, and Storage teams to create reference architectures and patterns.
• Develop and deploy programs leveraging AWS Field teams and partner channels.
• Own GTM strategy and execution for Data, collaborating with Sales, Partners, Marketing, and Specialists.
• Work with Marketing to align digital campaigns to drive awareness and demand.

Do you love building new strategic and data-driven businesses and have the tech-savy sales skills to work with the latest generation of startups providing the backbone of GenAI through Data? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) startup team as a Data Foundations specialist!

This position is part of the WWSO Startup team in EMEA, where you will support the latest generation of Startups going-deep with customers to understand their Semantic Data layer (across workloads, Storage, Database and Analytics), and drive growth across our data products. This role will work with 2 x Specialist Solution Architects to drive patterns with AWS in the GenAI data space and grow the business.

Key job responsibilities

• Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore partnerships for the most strategic GenAI and PhysicalAI startups at AWS
• Collaborate with AWS Database, Analytics, and Storage Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plan
• Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels
• Own the GTM strategy and execution for Data, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists
• Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand

A day in the life

You’ll be part of the WWSO Startup team, where you will be a Technical Business Developer that helps start-ups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on Data among others. You will 1/ Be the best storytellers and technologists, 2/ Work with the most promising start-ups, 3/ Scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field, and 4/ Gather critical startup feedback to inform our product roadmaps.

The WWSO (Worldwide Specialist Organization) helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies, sitting in the sweet-spot between product teams, account sales teams and customer success roles. We are technology specialists, who work backwards from our customers’ most complex, business-critical problems to dive-deep and guide customers through technical expertise, joint with building and executing go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include technical solutions architecture roles and technical business development roles.

The WWSO Startup team, is a segment of WWSO dedicated to going deep with startups in their domain or technology. We work with AWS Service Teams to ensure services and features continue to match the accelerating speed of startup development. We also support the wider Startup ecosystem, partnering with VC's to best support a startup's journey on AWS.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
• Experience working with Data Foundations (Analytics and Database) across a variety of customer use-cases
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools, open-source software and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences
• Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
• Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
• Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
