Senior Data Engineers for large West Midlands based client

My client is seeking to recruit Senior Data Engineers to join its expanding IT operation.

Requirements:

1. Good Data Engineering / ETL development experience
2. Data design experience in an MI / BI / Analytics environment (e.g., Kimball, lake house, data lake)
3. Experience working in a structured Change Management project lifecycle
4. Excellent Data Warehouse skills
5. Strong knowledge of business intelligence solutions and ability to translate this into data solutions for the broader business
6. Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies
7. Understanding of high-level business processes
8. Understanding of data migration, reconciliation, data cleansing, and cutover processes
9. Experience extracting, reporting, and manipulating data from a data warehouse environment
10. Proficiency in Transact SQL or similar relational database languages
11. Ability to deliver complex data platforms and solutions
12. Business analysis skills

Role Responsibilities:

1. Leading solutions for data engineering
2. Maintaining the design data within the architecture
3. Ensuring data engineering best practices
4. Contributing to the development of database management services and processes related to data solutions
5. Providing requirements analysis, documentation, development, delivery, and maintenance of data platforms
6. Developing database requirements aligned with business priorities and best practices
7. Designing and delivering performance enhancements, application migration, and version upgrades across BI environments
8. Supporting the scoping and delivery of BI capabilities to internal users
9. Ensuring high-quality data and effective use of strategic data repositories and Data Warehouse for reliable business intelligence
