Job Description:

Due to expansion, an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer has arisen.

Leading the strategic direction of the Software Engineering Team, you will have 10+ years of experience with exceptional Python, SQL, and AWS component experience.

Location: Fully Remote (London Based Company)

Salary: up to £95,000 + Benefits

Key Skills:

• Experience designing and building high throughput, scalable, resilient, and secure data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS technologies: Glue, Athena, S3, Step Functions, Lambda, RDS (Aurora Postgres), DMS, Redshift, QuickSight, Kinesis Firehose.
• Expert knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Python in a Data Analytics paradigm.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Good to have:

• Experience with design and implementation of event/data streaming solutions.
• Experience with Apache Superset.
• Exposure to Payments domain, ideally sanctions screening.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of data pipelines for reporting and data export use cases.
• Own the delivery of code from design to production.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to develop the platform.
• Provide expert Data Engineering advice to the Product team.
• Work with Architecture and Security teams to ensure code security and adherence to standards.
• Ensure code meets engineering standards.
• Support the Engineering Lead in strategic initiatives.
• Mentor Data Engineering colleagues.
