Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Data Engineer III to join our Data Engineering team. You’ll build and govern data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and Snowflake/Databricks, ensuring reliable and secure data delivery from source to decision-ready output.

You’ll own end-to-end pipeline implementations, troubleshoot issues independently, review peers' code, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with internal stakeholders across Fanatics Commerce, Collectibles, and Betting & Gaming teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software or data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with production data pipelines.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow) and cloud data warehouses/lusion (Snowflake/Databricks).
• Good communication and ownership for end-to-end problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Implement new ingestion sources end-to-end with senior engineer's design.
• Investigate pipeline failures and ship documented fixes.
• Identify downstream impact before shipping new pipelines and review data lineage.
