Job summary

Valarian Technologies Limited is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Ontology and Knowledge Graphs in a hybrid London setup. The role focuses on building data foundations, designing ontologies, and delivering scalable graph+NoSQL data solutions critical to secure AI workflows.

You will work with cross-functional teams to model entities, relationships, and business rules, while ensuring provenance and reliable data interfaces for AI tools. This is a hands-on, production-focused role.

Qualifications

• Strong production Python engineering with tested ingestion/transformation pipelines.
• Proficient SQL, relational modelling, indexing and query optimisation.
• Experience with graph/knowledge graphs and RDF/Property Graph concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data foundations for ACRA applications and Valarian knowledge graphs.
• Create ingestion/transformation pipelines from APIs, databases, documents and events.
• Implement entity resolution, deduplication and provenance preservation.
• Design graph models, relational schemas and NoSQL structures based on query needs.
• Develop efficient queries and data interfaces for AI tools with traceability.
• Implement automated tests for transformation correctness and data integrity.
• Preserve source permissions and retention through derived datasets.
• Own model evolution and migration with DataOps collaboration.
