ROLE PROFILE:

We are seeking a versatile and passionate Snowflake/Python Developer to join the SwapAgent Reporting development team within the SwapAgent Technology function supporting LSEG's Post Trade Solutions. The team designs, builds, and supports critical reporting systems that facilitate SwapAgent business operations.

This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and related systems essential to our services.

You will work within an Agile environment as part of a pod team, collaborating with team members to ensure smooth software development from planning to deployment and support. You will work under the guidance of the Team Lead, contributing to high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with a strong understanding of Snowflake and Python, along with experience in various databases and AWS cloud development. You should be proactive, able to work independently, take ownership, and contribute to testing and quality assurance processes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Take ownership of analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions.
• Estimate, report on progress, and liaise with business analysts, developers, and CI teams.
• Contribute to testing, including unit and system integration testing, and participate in test case design and execution.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely fixes, including participating in out-of-hours support.
• Document technical specifications, workflows, and system designs.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system and database design, application development, and testing.
• Proven ability in Snowflake/SQL and Python development.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database technologies like Oracle and Postgres.
• Experience with Apache Spark/Snowpark and Python for data pipelines.
• Experience on AWS platform, especially EC2, RDS, Airflow, Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Pytest, Behave, BDD, or similar.
• Knowledge of system resilience and security considerations.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and technologies.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in finance domain and knowledge of FpML & OTC derivatives.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Experience with GIT source control.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and system optimization.
• Understanding of designing resilient and secure systems.
