Senior Data Engineer – Investment Advisory – London
Senior Data Engineer – Investment Advisory – London

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help design and build scalable data platforms and intelligent systems using both traditional machine learning and Generative AI. This role is focused on delivering production-grade solutions that power analytics, automate workflows, and support decision-making across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to implement robust pipelines, deploy AI tools, and improve data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud-based data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop and deploy production-ready Generative AI systems including Retrieval-Augmented Generation, LLM-based tools, and agent workflows.
  • Apply machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, and time-series forecasting in real-world applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Modernise and scale legacy systems and workflows.
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal ML and GenAI capabilities by sharing technical best practices and improving tooling.
  • Document architecture, models, and processes clearly for internal use.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python (especially Pandas) and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure acceptable).
  • 3+ years of experience in applied machine learning and data engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on ownership and collaboration.
