Job summary

DWP is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Informatica) for a 12-month Inside IR35 contract, based in a hybrid arrangement across Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield. You will enhance legacy Informatica PowerCenter data integration, reduce technical debt and support cloud migration to keep business-critical data accessible and trusted.

Qualifications

Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Strong SQL and Oracle database knowledge; data warehousing concepts.
Experience building ETL pipelines, data extraction, transformation, cleansing and loading.

Responsibilities

Build and manage data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Ensure data quality through validation, standardisation and business rules.
Develop and maintain error handling, monitoring and logging within mappings and procedures.
Use parameterisation to create flexible, reusable workflows.
Follow development standards and best practices; thorough testing.
Diagnose and fix issues by reading Informatica logs and understanding root causes.
Monitor data loads with control tables and job-tracking.
Develop Informatica transformations and expressions for accurate processing.
Deploy solutions with version control and release processes.
