Job summary

Wise is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join the Scalable Growth team in London. You will own data architecture, build high‑volume streaming/batch pipelines, and partner with marketing, analytics and engineering to deliver a scalable data platform.

You will drive data resilience, implement dbt and Airflow workflows, and mentor engineers while shaping the CDP and MarTech data flows for global growth.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and Big Data pipelines (Kafka Streams, Event Streaming, Trino, Iceberg).
• Hands-on experience with dbt for transformations and Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Strong background designing scalable, fault-tolerant data architectures and data quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Audit and elevate data pipelines and streaming architectures for reliability and scale.
• Productionize PoCs into scalable Airflow/dbt data workflows for CDP datasets.
• Bridge engineering and analytics with clear data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation standards.
