Cadence Resourcing is partnering with a large, complex organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Data Engineer. This hands-on technical leadership role combines engineering, platform ownership and delivery leadership.

You will design and develop scalable data pipelines across cloud and on‑prem environments, lead migrations and warehousing initiatives, and own engineering standards for performance and reliability. Hybrid model with onsite presence about 1–2 times per month.

Competenze

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in complex environments.
• Hands-on lead with ownership of data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise.
• Experience with Azure and Snowflake data platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Mansioni

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and integration solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Lead technical delivery across data migration, transformation and warehousing initiatives.
• Take ownership of engineering standards, platform performance and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and line management to engineers.
• Work closely with architects, delivery teams and external technology partners.
• Strong SQL, data modelling and data warehousing expertise.
• Experience with modern ETL/ELT technologies, including Talend, dbt and Azure Data Factory.
• Cloud data platforms such as Azure SQL and Snowflake.
• API integrations, database optimisation and complex data migrations.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and supporting engineering teams.
• Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tooling, including Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Monitoring and observability platforms.
• Data governance, security and CI/CD practices.
