Job summary

VML MAP, part of WPP MAP, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Insights and Science team in London. You will build and maintain data pipelines across cloud platforms to support 1:1 retargeting, CRM, and analytics for major brands.

The role requires strong skills in Spark, Python/Scala, SQL, and cloud data warehousing, plus experience with Looker, DBT, Airflow, and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to ensure high-quality data

Qualifications

Experience in data engineering, big data, BI, or data science.
Strong SQL and programming in Python/Scala.
Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

Identify, collect, and integrate data from various sources by building high-quality data pipelines and data models for analytics and BI purposes.
Develop and optimize code to enable pipelines at minimum cost and ease of maintenance.
Build monitoring procedures & tools to ensure solid ETL flows and data quality.
Design processes and tools to correct ETL incidents.
Collaborate with CRM developers, data scientists, data analysts, and product owners to ensure the supplied data supports the business initiatives.
