Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler seeks a Senior Data Engineer with UK DV or EDV clearance for a defence programme based around Bristol and Wiltshire. You will design, build and maintain secure data solutions across the full data lifecycle, collaborating with Data Scientists, Analysts and DevOps to deliver robust systems.

The role offers a condensed 3-day work week with pay for 5, hybrid on-site support, and a strong extension potential up to 12 months.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience delivering Data Engineering solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on NiFi and data pipeline work.
• Data modelling and schema design.
• REST API integration and data contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure and scalable data solutions.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python, SQL and NiFi.
• Model data, schemas and ICDs / data contracts.
• Integrate data from REST APIs and source systems.
• Work with Parquet and S3 storage; ensure validation and lineage.
