Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a Defence/MOD programme based in Bristol/Wiltshire with hybrid working. You will design, build and maintain secure data solutions across the full lifecycle, collaborating with Data Scientists, Analysts and DevOps teams.

The role requires strong Python/SQL, NiFi, data modeling and experience with containerised environments such as OpenShift or Kubernetes. Clear DV or EDV clearance is essential.

Location: Bristol / Wiltshire - Hybrid

Rate: £55-£60 per hour Inside IR35

Contract: 3 months initially, with a strong expectation of extension to 12 months

The Role

You'll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable data solutions across the full data lifecycle - from acquisition and integration through to processing, validation and analysis.

You'll work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, DevOps Engineers, Cyber Consultants and customer stakeholders to deliver robust, secure and maintainable data solutions.

Clearance & Location

DV clearance is essential for this role, with EDV clearance also welcomed.

The role is based around Bristol and MOD sites in Wiltshire, with approximately 50% of the time spent on MOD sites and the remainder working on a hybrid basis. There may also be occasional requirements to work from other sites.
