Job summary

Peaple Talent Ltd is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer to Bristol (3 days a week). The role combines leadership of a Data Engineering team with hands-on technical delivery as the data platform evolves toward Databricks and a modern lakehouse.

You will mentor engineers, shape data strategy, and collaborate with Technology, Architecture and BI teams while delivering major transformation programmes in a hybrid working setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Data Engineering teams.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark, Python and SQL.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance technical leadership with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a talented team of Data Engineers
• Provide technical direction across data platforms and products
• Drive the migration to Databricks and a modern lakehouse environment
• Stay hands-on with complex engineering challenges using Python, SQL & Spark
• Work closely with Technology, Architecture, BI and wider business teams
• Support major transformation and integration programmes
