Job summary

Bright Purple Resourcing Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer on a contract basis to support a major digital transformation programme in Bedfordshire.

The role is hybrid with two days on site and focuses on data migration, integration and cloud-based solutions using Python, SQL and Azure. The successful candidate will build reliable data pipelines, optimise ETL processes and work closely with engineering and data teams to deliver scalable data movement across legacy and modern

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL development for data migration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL.
• Deep ETL knowledge including data mapping and validation.
• Experience integrating data across multiple applications and sources.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver data migration and integration solutions across systems.
• Extract, transform and load data from legacy applications into a cloud platform.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and transformation processes.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and Azure SQL.
• Identify and resolve data quality and reconciliation issues.
• Support system-to-system integrations and API-based data flows.
