Job summary

The Travel Corporation (TTC) in London is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data products that power analytics, data science, AI and commercial decision‑making across a global business. You’ll work in a modern Snowflake ecosystem, partnering with engineers, analysts, data scientists, Product and Architecture to solve complex problems and create trusted data.

Qualifications

• Substantial data engineering experience in production-scale environments.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in SQL and Python.
• Strong Snowflake experience, or equivalent depth in another modern cloud data platform.
• Proven track record designing ELT and ETL pipelines and analytical data models.
• Practical experience with dbt, orchestration frameworks, Git and CI/CD.
• A genuine commitment to data quality, testing and observability.
• Sound engineering judgement, knowing when to build for the long term and when to ship.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, production-grade pipelines and reusable data products that teams across the business genuinely rely on.
• Model our most important customer and commercial entities so the business works from one trusted version of the truth.
• Engineer solutions in Snowflake, SQL, Python and modern transformation tooling such as dbt.
• Raise the bar on testing, data quality, observability, version control and CI/CD, and make good practice the default.
• Tune workloads for performance, resilience, scalability and sensible cloud cost.
• Lead technically through design reviews, code reviews and hands-on mentoring.
• Partner with Data Science, Analytics, Product and Architecture to unlock advanced analytics and AI use cases.
• Define the reusable engineering patterns that lift the technical maturity of the whole platform.
