Job summary

Hireful is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape our data platform. You will own scalable Databricks pipelines, establish a single source of truth and enable self‑service analytics across the business.

This UK-based, remote role offers up to £85,000 basic, a 10% bonus, and extensive benefits. You will mentor juniors and collaborate with Finance, Product, Sales and Engineering to turn business challenges into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior level experience in data engineering and architecture.
• Hands-on Databricks skills (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake).
• Advanced SQL and Python coding skills.
• Track record building enterprise-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and source control best practices.
• Desirable: ML/AI interest or data science leaning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products using Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake).
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform data from internal/external systems.
• Shape enterprise data architecture for scalability, performance and security.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Sales, Marketing and Engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Embed data quality, governance and access controls across the data lifecycle.
• Mentor a junior engineer and grow the data function.
