Job summary

Pandora in London is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own critical data products on an Azure Databricks-based platform. You will work with product teams and lead data engineers to improve data quality, observability and scalability.

The role emphasizes design of production-grade data pipelines, collaboration with stakeholders, and mentorship in a hybrid work environment with cutting-edge cloud data technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with a strong data focus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical data models and data warehouses.
• Experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines on cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in Python; Scala is a plus.
• Solid CI/CD, testing, Git and modern DevOps practices for data engineering.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade data products used by multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English communication skills
• Agile mindset and Scrum experience
• Proactive, adaptable in a fast-moving AI-driven data environment

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, efficient and stable data products within a product team.
• Mentor data engineers and lead technical ownership of complex data products.
• Create and maintain high-quality data pipeline architecture.
• Ingest large data sets, automate processes and improve data quality.
• Improve data quality, observability and reliability across pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to solve data-related challenges and define best practices.
