Job summary

RWE Supply & Trading GmbH is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape our data platform, leveraging Databricks, AI capabilities and cloud-native data engineering to deliver scalable, trusted data solutions.

You will work with stakeholders and engineers to design robust data products, ensure data quality, and drive platform performance and governance in a dynamic energy trading environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with large-scale data engineering in Python, SQL, AWS Lambda and Terraform.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM-powered applications and automation frameworks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design and evolution of the data analytics platform.
• Explore AI-enabled engineering tools and AI use cases to improve productivity and outcomes.
• Design and implement data pipelines and products using SQL, Spark, Databricks and cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into backlog items and delivery plans.
• Drive platform innovations, automation, and reliability across data services.
