Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain a modern data environment in County Durham. The role focuses on scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data models and secure data platforms to support analytics and business decisions.

You will work with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions, improve data quality, and support the evolution of the organisation’s data capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Strong experience with programming and query languages such as SQL, Python, R, Scala or Hive.
• Experience using data modelling, ETL/ELT and visualisation technologies such as Power BI, DAX, Synapse and Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven experience delivering data platforms and services including data models, schemas, warehouses, lakehouses and/or data lakes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data models for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data solutions.
• Prepare data for use across data warehouses, lakes and modern data platforms.
