IDEXX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Veterinary Software team in London. This role offers remote work with the requirement to visit our Wimbledon office twice a month (SW19 1QT).
The Senior Data Engineer will lead data migration strategies across hybrid cloud environments, primarily AWS, and design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines integrating PHP and C# applications using .NET and React. The role involves utilizing tools such as Terraform, AWS services (Lambda, EC2, EKS, Step Functions, VPC), Airflow, Snowflake, and aligning architecture with AI/ML initiatives.

This role supports the ezyVet product, a cloud-based Veterinary Practice Management Software, aimed at improving veterinary practice efficiency and communication.
Within IDEXX, the Veterinary Software portfolio focuses on solutions that enhance pet, human, and livestock health worldwide through cloud technology, simplifying information flow and connecting vets with essential data, insights, and communication tools.
Additional responsibilities include:
Requirements include a Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent, 7+ years in software/data engineering with recent cloud migration experience, proficiency in MySQL, OOP, AWS, PHP, C#, .NET Core, React, Python, EKS, and familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes. Experience with AI projects, Kafka, Spark, Flink, and GDPR compliance is a plus.
