We have always been a “remote first” company and are proud to have team members located all over the world. We value Curiosity, Creativity, Perseverance, and Kindness and strive to demonstrate these core values every day. Our culture is very important to us. We invest in our people in fun and exciting ways, including personal development budgets and an annual all-company retreat that is focused less on work and more on human connections. We are in growth mode, and our “smart growth” approach ensures that we will continue to scale our company effectively.

As a Senior Data Engineer at Intellum, you’ll play a key role in scaling and refining our data platform. Your mission is to ensure that data across the organization is accurate, accessible, and actionable. • Enforce data quality through validation, anomaly detection, and robust error handling.
  • Document pipeline architecture, dependencies, and processes for easy knowledge sharing.
  • Support and help evolve our data governance framework to ensure integrity, compliance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, ML, Business) to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Integrate third-party systems (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, etc) into our data ecosystem for unified insights.
  • Experiment with and adopt AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to code, automate tasks, improve code quality, and boost the team’s and your own productivity.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge (PostgreSQL on AWS RDS / CloudSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with dbt, Airbyte, Datastream, or similar modern data stack tools.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Kestra.
  • Proficient with Python programming.
  • Experience with Terraform / Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
  • Proficient with data warehouse design and development, preferably in Google BigQuery.
  • Experience integrating and syncing third-party platforms with internal systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business insights and implications to non-technical parties.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a remote-based culture.
