Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Data Warehouse / Data Engineer to lead data architecture efforts in the UK. You will administer Snowflake, build data models using Kimball methods, and develop pipelines that transform disparate sources into reporting data stores.

You will also create dashboards in Power BI and collaborate with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights. The role requires strong SQL, BI tooling experience, and a proactive approach to data governance and security within a

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering and working in a Data Warehouse (Snowflake highly preferred)
• Ability to influence a team of technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience building data models and flows from various sources using Kimball Dimensional Modelling techniques
• Proven knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling principles
• Experience of DBT
• Strong SQL programming experience in a commercial setting
• Experience of using BI reporting tools (Power BI) with an ability to develop reports and dashboards
• Awareness and familiarity with AI tools and technologies – preference for OpenAI Codex, Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence
• Experience administering, creating, and maintaining data pipelines in an ELT application that cleans, transforms, and aggregates data from disparate data sources into reporting data stores
• Experience documenting ELT specifications such as source to target mappings, business rules and data validation requirements, ETL functional and non-functional requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for translating data insights into concise executive summaries and presentations
• Ability to present findings in a structured, clear manner with actionable insights
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively with the ability to work proactively and independently in meeting stakeholder needs
• Appreciation of data security, CCPA, GDPR and PII data handling principles
• A willingness to be utilised as a developer across other enterprise applications
• Experience of working in the Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing sectors
• Experience with below toolset preferred: Snowflake cloud platform, Dbt, FiveTran, Precog, Microsoft Fabric/Power BI Analytics, GitHub, SDLC, Kimball Dimensional Modelling, Dynamics 365 Backend, Infor Syteline and/or Infor Visual ERP Backend, SQL
