Job summary

Morson Edge (Technology) is supporting a leading UK consultancy on an AWS Lakehouse transformation. We are seeking experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a technical delivery team working alongside a Lead Data Architect to modernise data pipelines and deliver a production-ready AWS data platform.

This role focuses on designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines in the AWS ecosystem, migrating to Lakehouse, reducing technical debt, and delivering key milestones with client teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience with large-scale, high-volume or regulated data environments.
• Industry experience in betting, gambling or iGaming.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with client engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines across the AWS ecosystem.
• Drive migration towards a modern Lakehouse architecture.
• Identify and resolve technical debt within existing data pipelines.
• Improve delivery standards and share best practices with engineering teams.
• Support platform stabilisation and help deliver programme milestones.

Morson Edge are exclusively supporting a leading UK consultancy on a critical AWS Lakehouse transformation that needs experienced engineers to get it back on track.

As part of this programme, we're looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a highly technical delivery team working alongside a Lead Data Architect.

This isn't a greenfield build, it's a genuine engineering challenge where you'll influence architecture, modernise data pipelines and help deliver a production-ready AWS data platform.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines across the AWS ecosystem.
• Driving the migration towards a modern Lakehouse architecture.
• Identifying and resolving technical debt within existing data pipelines.
• Working closely with engineering teams to improve delivery standards and share best practices.
• Supporting platform stabilisation and helping deliver key programme milestones.
• Collaborating with the Lead Data Architect to implement the target-state data platform.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for engineers who have experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and enjoy solving complex technical challenges.

You'll must have:

• Strong commercial experience with AWS data technologies including S3, Glue, Redshift and Lake Formation.
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience working with large-scale, high-volume or regulated data environments.
• Previous experience within the betting, gambling or iGaming industry is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside client engineering teams.
