Job summary

Morson Edge are exclusively supporting a leading UK consultancy on an AWS Lakehouse transformation, seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help deliver a production-ready data platform from a technical delivery team in Manchester.

You will design and optimise data pipelines in AWS, drive Lakehouse migration, and work with the Lead Data Architect to realise the target-state platform. Strong Python/SQL skills and betting/gambling industry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Expertise with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation).
• Proficient in Python and SQL development.
• Experience with large-scale, regulated data environments.
• Betting, gambling, or iGaming industry experience is essential.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines across the AWS ecosystem.
• Driving the migration towards a modern Lakehouse architecture.
• Identifying and resolving technical debt within existing data pipelines.
• Working closely with engineering teams to improve delivery standards and share best practices.

Morson Edge are exclusively supporting a leading UK consultancy on a critical AWS Lakehouse transformation that needs experienced engineers to get it back on track.

As part of this programme, were looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a highly technical delivery team working alongside a Lead Data Architect.

This isnt a greenfield build, its a genuine engineering challenge where youll influence architecture, modernise data pipelines and help deliver a production-ready AWS data platform.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines across the AWS ecosystem.

• Strong commercial experience with AWS data technologies including S3, Glue, Redshift and Lake Formation.
• Experience designing or implementing Lakehouse architectures.
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience working with large-scale, high-volume or regulated data environments.
• Previous experience within the betting, gambling or iGaming industry is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside client engineering teams.
