Job summary

McGregor Boyall in London is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and evolve a cloud-based data platform for a private equity real estate portfolio. This hands-on role involves mentoring two junior engineers and close collaboration with investment and finance teams.

You will design scalable data pipelines, integrate multiple data sources via APIs, and work with AWS/GCP and Snowflake to deliver high-quality data that informs investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering or similar experience
• Strong SQL and Python development experience
• Solid Snowflake experience essential
• Experience building cloud-based data platforms (AWS and/or GCP)
• Experience working with APIs and integrating multiple data sources
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Previous mentoring or coaching experience is desirable

Location: London
Working: 5 days per week onsite (non-negotiable)
Package: Up to £120k Total Compensation

The Role

An opportunity to join a highly successful private equity investment firm as they continue to invest in their data platform and engineering capabilities.

You'll play a key role in building and evolving the firm's cloud-based data platform, developing scalable data pipelines, integrating internal and external data sources, and delivering high-quality data that directly supports investment decisions.

This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced environment, working closely with investment, finance and asset management teams. You'll also mentor two junior Data Engineers while owning day-to-day technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements
