Pacific Life Re is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to define and deliver an enterprise data platform and governance. You will work with the divisional data team to prioritise data engineering tasks and build a data warehouse delivering reporting outputs for internal customers.
The role focuses on data integration, modelling, testing, and project delivery across geographies, reporting to the Data Engineering Manager. A strong background in SQL, ETL, and BI tooling is essential.
Following extensive global expansion over several years and a drive to standardise common systems and platforms globally, PL Re is undertaking a major back‑office transformation programme and has established a Divisional Data Team to develop and manage an enterprise-wide data solution, reporting services and to embed best practice data governance. This team will support the business throughout its back‑office transformation and will deliver significant improvement in efficiencies and the value derived from our data assets globally. We are looking to appoint a Senior data engineer; to support the definition and delivery of an enterprise data platform with engineering best practices. Specifically, this role will help the divisional data team (DDT) to understand, manage, and prioritise data engineering and transformation activities. The role is reporting to the Data engineering manager, who is responsible for prioritising, planning, and development of the data engineering and transformation tasks required. This role holder will build close working relationships with the DDT team and business units across our operating geographies and will be responsible for ensuring that technical requirements are clearly understood throughout the project lifecycle, and develop a data warehouse that empowers delivering reporting outputs that meet the needs of our internal customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join this new team. The Data transformation analyst would fill a critical role within the organisation tasked with analysis, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support for data-intensive pipelines. Also, would play an integral role in enhancing system quality, identifying issues, and transforming applications through innovation. If you're a tech-savvy individual with a strong drive for creativity, excellence, and ambition, we want to hear from you!
