Job summary

Context Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Data Engineer for a hybrid role based in Central London (3 days per week in office). The role focuses on designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, with hands-on work across ETL/ELT, data lake architectures and Medallion principles.

You will work with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena) and Git for version control, contributing to solution design and data consumption strategies.

• Bridge data engineering with end-user needs through insights and visuals (nice to have).

Public facing, household name, critical national infrastructure organisation (~60k employees), are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in modern data engineering practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Requirements:

• Design, build, and maintenance of robust data pipelines using modern data engineering best practices
• Hands-on development with ETL/ELT processes, data lake architectures, and ideally Medallion architecture principles
• Strong experience across AWS data services (S3, Glue, and Athena)
• Proficient in Git for source control and release management
• Contribute to solution design discussions, including data consumption and reporting layers

Nice to have:

• Front-end or reporting/visualisation experience to help bridge the gap between data engineering and end-user needs
• Experience with SnapLogic would be beneficial, although is not a requirement
