Responsibilities

• Work in the data team with connections to Analytico and the machine learning team.
• Provide relevant deliverables to integrate with the platform to deliver business value.
• Drive development of algorithms, processes, and infrastructure (subject to manager approval), and lead project improvements.
• Build data pipelines to load raw data into data lakes and data warehouses in AWS, accessible to various teams (Analytics, ML).
• Develop new algorithms, processes, and technologies to maximize cost efficiency, ETL performance, and security.
• Design, automate, build, and deploy scalable, efficient, reliable data pipelines into production, ensuring secure and accessible data for all business units.
• Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and examples.
• Educate and promote the functionalities and solutions of the data warehouse platform to non-departmental staff.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience building modern Data Warehouses.
• Experience with large datasets and real-time streaming applications.
• Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift).
• Some experience with Infrastructure-As-Code (Terraform).
• Strong skills in SQL and Python.
• Experience in ETL practices.
• Good knowledge of Apache Spark (PySpark, Spark Streaming is a plus).
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, Testing, Version Control).

• Strong communication and organizational skills, capable of working across disciplines.
• Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
• Initiative to drive projects and innovate within frameworks.
• Analytical, inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail.
