Job summary

UKRI is seeking a Senior Digital Project Manager for a 6-month contract, Inside IR35, largely remote with occasional travel to Swindon. You will lead a high-profile data and reporting initiative across Data, Finance, Digital and Business teams, building delivery plans and governance to enable strategic decision-making.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, end-to-end delivery of data projects, and hands-on project control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering projects within data analytics, reporting or BI environments.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data-focused initiatives in a data delivery team.
• Strong project management with ownership of plans, milestones, dependencies, governance, and roadmaps.
• Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and technical teams.
• Experience gathering and refining requirements with Business Analysts and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to create structure and prioritise in complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and critical paths.
• Coordinate delivery across Data, Finance, Digital and business teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage programme governance including steering group reporting, decision logs, actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Monitor progress against milestones and escalate blockers as required.
• Build effective relationships with business and technical stakeholders to support communication and delivery.
• Manage project controls including schedules, resource plans, risks, and financial monitoring.
• Produce progress reports and status updates for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and governance forums to drive delivery decisions and momentum.
• Drive resolution of cross-team dependencies and delivery challenges.
• Ensure outputs transition into business as usual and align to strategic objectives.
