OpenSource is seeking a Senior Data Consultant in the UK to lead hands-on data architecture and modeling on Databricks. You’ll design data models, Medallion layers, data quality and governance, working closely with client teams and engineers.

This role emphasizes design and consulting over pure engineering. Candidate will blend data engineering, architecture and consulting experience, with strong SQL and client-facing skills.

We're currently supporting a leading global consultancy with the appointment of a Senior Data Consultant in the UK.

About the Role

This is a hands-on data architecture and modeling role on Databricks, working directly with clients. You'll design the data (Medallion layers, data models, data quality and governance) and work alongside engineers to bring those designs to life. It isn't a pure engineering role: design, modeling and client work matter more than pipeline build.

• Modern data architecture and Medallion patterns
• Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
• Data governance, ownership and stewardship
• Data lineage, metadata and data quality
• Data integration and transformation design
• Governed data products
• Translating business requirements into technical architecture and delivery plans
• The role would suit someone with a strong Data Engineering, Data Architecture or Data Consulting background who is equally comfortable working with technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Consulting experience is particularly important at the more senior level, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to focus on the commercial and business value behind the technology.

Pay range and compensation package

• Salary: Up to £120,000
• Bonus: Up to approximately 40%
