Senior Data Centre Project Leader — AI Infrastructure

Job summary

Nscale is building sovereign AI infrastructure across Europe, delivering data centres and high-performance GPUs for AI workloads. The Senior Project Manager will lead construction from design through handover, coordinating design, engineering and contractors to deliver on time, safely and to specification.

You will manage budgets, schedules and risks, collaborating with Engineering, EH&S, Finance and Operations to ensure world-class, compliant delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience managing large-scale, mission-critical construction projects including data centre developments and fit-out works.
• Ideally delivered projects integrating TCS loop liquid cooling networks.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-discipline delivery teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual principles to align cost and schedule targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead data centre project delivery from design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and quality to align with design intent and business objectives.
• Coordinate and lead discipline Project Management (MEP, CSA) as required and ensure package integration.
• Maintain oversight of project budgets and schedules with the Commercial Manager, reporting progress and risks.
• Work with Design for reviews, approvals, and documentation control.
• Collaborate with general contractors on resource planning and performance.
• Drive milestones, identify delays, and develop recovery plans.
• Build and maintain a strong safety culture with auditing and compliance.
• Chair status meetings and report progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements and advise on design implications.
• Lead risk identification and resolution, tracking issues to closure.
• Coordinate with Engineering, EH&S, Finance and Operations to ensure seamless delivery.
