Job summary

Amazon in the United Kingdom seeks an AWS Data Centre Facilities Manager to lead critical infrastructure operations that power cloud services worldwide. The role blends operational excellence, technical expertise, and team leadership to ensure continuous facility availability while driving cost efficiency.

You will oversee mission-critical systems and large-scale engineering teams, manage budgets and third-party vendors, and implement processes that improve reliability, safety, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams and driving performance.
• Experience with large-scale engineering services and data-centre operations.
• Track record of maintaining SLAs with proactive issue detection.
• Experience leading a mission-critical team or product.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 site engineering operations, shift planning, and maintenance scheduling.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical infrastructure including feeders, transformers, generators, UPS, chillers, pumps and CRAC units.
• Drive efficiency improvements in power, cooling, and infrastructure.
• Manage space and power planning to support growth.
• Deliver infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Develop and control operational budgets; vendor and stakeholder management.
