Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Field Mechanical Engineer for its Data Center Engineering team in Europe, coordinating with PMC and SPCs to deliver complex mechanical projects on schedule, within cost and safety requirements. You will provide on-site support and drive mechanical execution across multiple stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5 years of international project experience, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience managing construction projects in an international environment.
• Experience with data center equipment, switchgear, generators, controls and safety systems.
• Experience with facility mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive mechanical outcomes of high complexity and scope across stakeholders.
• Manage mechanical scoping, priorities and resource allocation.
• Provide technical leadership on design, scope, schedule, quality and safety for mechanical work.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical events and escalate as needed, ensuring cross-project alignment.
• Coordinate with authorities and third parties on inspections and compliance.
