Job summary

Crown House Technologies (CHT), part of the Laing O'Rourke Group, is seeking an experienced BEMS Design Manager to lead high-integrity BMS/EPMS/EMS designs for mission-critical data centre environments. You will own engineering design from handover through commissioning, coordinating with PMs, clients and subcontractors.

Role involves delivering resilient control systems, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum three years' experience designing BMS systems.
• Experience delivering projects within Data Centre or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of BACnet and Modbus communications.
• Experience producing Functional Design Specifications, Points Lists, Network Architecture Drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete BMS, EPMS and EMS design packages from client specifications and project requirements.
• Develop Functional Design Specifications and operation descriptions.
• Design system architecture and network topology for resilient control systems.
• review of control panel layouts and wiring drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support and mentor Junior Design Engineers and Apprentices.
• Produce accurate as-built documentation.
