Job Description:
Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior Data Architect to support the development of a reference logical data model for pan-Canadian healthcare!
Initial 1-year contract, with possibility of extension. % remote (EST)
Responsibilities
- Focus on the development of a Healthcare Reference Logical Data Model (currently data elements and expanding) that can be applied across geographies; includes concepts, definitions, and relationships; is technology agnostic; includes comprehensive metadata modelling; and provides definitions for all aspects of the logical data model based on related data standards. This data model must also include concepts, definitions, and relationships.
- Works closely with various internal stakeholders including analysts and architects to gather their input on data concepts and solutions;
- Review and understand existing healthcare concepts and models in collaboration with key national, provincial, and territorial stakeholders;
- Apply data architectural and modelling experience to the creation of Information/data architecture that supports solutions that meet business needs;
- Assess current health landscape for relevant information, data models, and standards to determine future architecture (e.g. HL7 RIM, FHIR, SNOMED CT);
- Collaborate on the definition of related data standards, business glossary and data requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership on the data architecture discipline.
- Ensures that interoperability capability, data consistency, data lifecycle, technological risks are all addressed in the data architecture;
- Collaborate with internal technical resources on development and promotion of data standards.
Must-Have
- 7+ years of experience as a Senior Data Architect working on organization wide systems integration and transformation initiatives
- Experience with HL7 (includes HL7 v2, v3 RIM, CDA or FHIR)
- 5+ years of experience leading the development of a Logical Data Model for large organizations in the Healthcare space, especially for provincial or municipal government clients
- 5+ years of experience working with data governanceconcepts
- 10+ years of experience applying information/data architecture concepts, patterns and standards
- 5+ years of demonstrated project delivery experience leading large scale data architecture
Nice to Have
- Good understanding of International Patient Summary(IPS)
- Familiarity with key health care terminologies and classifications (such as, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, ICD-10-CA/CCI, etc.)
- Familiarity with data management best practices e.g. DAMA-DMBOK. Experience with Metadata and Data Governance
- Knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or other architecture frameworks.
