Job Description:

Zearch is partnering with a leading GIS/Geo-spatial SaaS business to hire an experienced Data Architect for high-priority projects in the Telco & Utilities sectors.

• Collaborate with clients to evaluate data quality and business value, conducting detailed assessments of critical data elements.
• Assist in defining data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Review client systems to understand data flow and customer lifecycle data structures.

GIS Data Modeling & Transformation

• Design GIS data models aligned with client objectives, transforming data using tools like Python, Perl, Safe FME, and proprietary utilities.
• Standardize datasets for scalable, automated workflows.
• Establish automated data ingestion and processing routines.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed documentation of data architectures and processes.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards such as PII, PCI, PI, FERC, and CPNI.

Deployment & Operational Support

• Contribute to deployment teams for implementing new data models.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize data sources based on business needs.
• Document data collection and transfer methods, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate new data sources.

ETL Development

• Develop automated ETL pipelines prioritizing scalability and reliability.
• Leverage expertise in data architecture, large-scale modeling, and insights extraction.
• Manipulate both structured and unstructured data.
• Understand relational databases and data modeling principles.
• Experience with GIS/CAD tools (e.g., Smallworld, ESRI, Bentley) is desirable.
• Analyze requirements and develop reporting structures.
• Knowledge of ETL tools like SAFE FME is a plus.
• Understand data privacy regulations.
• Experience with analytics tools is advantageous.
