Job summary

SMBC Group in the UK seeks a Technical Data Architect to design, implement, and maintain the data architecture across the SMBC EMEA business. You will translate business and data office requirements into scalable, secure data solutions and set the technical strategy for the Data and Analytics platform.

You will lead design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay ahead of emerging data technologies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building technical data solutions in mid-to-large enterprises.
• Define technical strategy and roadmaps for delivery.
• Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and integration.
• Familiar with hub-and-spoke, data lakes and lakehouses.
• Excellent communication to explain designs to stakeholders.
• Experience with Databricks ecosystem and data reporting tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data architecture.
