Job summary

Addition Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Architect for an initial 3-month remote contract, outside IR35, paying £700–£800 per day. UK-based candidates only. You will own a high-impact data transformation programme, modernising estate and enabling AI-driven capabilities.

You will work closely with the CTO to shape strategy, deliver a practical delivery roadmap and drive architectural change across the data landscape.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior data architecture across complex data environments.
• Proven expertise in AI-ready data architecture including vector databases and embeddings.
• Strong knowledge of API-first architecture and data consumer design.
• Experience modernising legacy data platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Review and transform the existing data landscape, identifying gaps and modernization opportunities.
• Design scalable, future-ready data solutions that integrate legacy systems.
• Develop an API-first architecture to enable secure and efficient data consumption.
• Assess AI readiness with vector databases, embeddings and retrieval-based tech.
• Create a practical technical roadmap and milestones with the CTO.
• Lead architectural improvements from assessment through implementation.
