Lorien are partnering with a Consultancy with a presence in the UK and Europe. They are currently seeking a Lead Data Architect to support a huge transformation piece for one of their top tier insurance clients.

This role will be leading the design and delivery of a next-gen Data platform. You'll shape the architecture, drive automation and ensure the platform is secure, scalable and aligned to business needs. Ideally this will be someone who has come from a Data/Software Engineering background

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement a modern data platform
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and engineering teams - translating technical capabilities into business value
• Lead DevOps, CI/CD and automation strategies
• Oversee Data governance, security and observability
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects and business stakeholders
• Guide delivery of software engineering and platform capability

Experience:

• Experience of leading enterprise level Data Platforms using Azure, AWS, Snowflake and Kafka
• Experience of end to end data integration patterns and enterprise grade data modelling.
• Strong understanding of SDLC principles
• Current or previous coding experience in Python, Java, R or similar low/no code frameworks
• Strong modern Data Architectures (Lakehouse, Kappa, Lambda)
• Proven experience in DevOps, automation, CI/CD and IaC
• Expertise in Data governance, automation and integration
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proven track record of leading large technical teams

This is a hybrid role with office/client site attendance in London twice a week.

Salary is paying up to £130,000 with additional benefits such as health insurance, mental health support & training.
