Reason for vacancy

Continued growth of HSO and the increase in the number and complexity of D365 projects necessitate extending our capabilities to include a dedicated Senior Data Architect.

Job Purpose

This highly visible role involves working with HSO customers, with regular customer-facing and on-site contact. Good customer awareness is essential. The Senior Data Architect will lead in designing and implementing solutions for our customers, contributing throughout the project lifecycle and engaging with prospect/customer engagement, the Cloud Services Team, and the Project Team. The role involves utilizing the full breadth of the D365 product and the Microsoft Azure stack to find and deliver the best solutions.

You will provide modeling and analytical direction for solution design, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and controlled delivery of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in the HSO Project Team focused on D365 implementation.
2. Support architectural definition of solutions providing business intelligence and reporting across strategic, analytical, operational, and compliance landscapes.
3. Provide architectural modeling and documentation, ensuring clear communication of decisions.
4. Design intelligent data systems to drive forecasts, predictions, and decision-making.
5. Design and implement data migration paths from legacy systems to D365 Apps.
6. Design and implement master-data store concepts and distribution strategies.
7. Develop proof of concept solutions.
8. Act as a liaison between customer technical teams and internal technical and development teams.
9. Ensure the system architecture supports all customer requirements and leverages standard D365 Apps.
10. Collaborate with Solution and Technical Architects to align data architecture with customer needs and standards.
11. Create systems architecture and design documentation per HSO standards.
12. Apply HSO project delivery methodology to all projects.
13. Participate in data migration activities between environments.
14. Represent HSO professionally and positively.
15. Maintain Microsoft certifications and stay updated on products and technologies.
16. Promote emerging technologies for competitive advantage.
17. Manage commercial and budget considerations.

Location

Based on client site, in the office, or working from home, with extensive travel required. Expect at least 3 days per week on customer sites, with some time in the office to foster internal relationships and stay aligned with company developments.

Requirements

Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX 2012, D365, SAP, Azure solutions, AWS, etc.
• Experience as a functional/data migration or integration lead, understanding how data elements underpin solutions.
• Knowledge of D365 Apps, Common Data Service, Power Query, SSIS, Data Warehouse, ETL processes, and related technologies.
• Understanding of Microsoft tools like Data Management Framework, OData, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, CDS, and connectors.
• Ability to design integration architectures using Azure or third-party middleware.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture tools and technologies for performant, secure solutions handling peak data volumes.
• Understanding of GDPR and data compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of BI tools and capabilities.
• Ability to define KPIs and data architecture supporting BI and AI tools.
• Excellent presentation, demonstration, communication skills.
• Understanding of ERP implementation methodologies.
• Ability to learn emerging technologies and share knowledge internally.
• Confidence to act as a trusted advisor internally and to clients.

Beneficial (but not essential) Skills:

• Experience with multiple Dynamics 365 implementations.
• Relevant certifications in Dynamics 365 or related technical/functional areas.
• Understanding of D365 Finance & Operations and/or Sales.
• Experience with LCS and DevOps.
• Degree-level education.
