As Senior Analytics Manager in the Core Business Analytics team, you will lead the Commercial (Ops) analytics vertical—covering pricing, promotions, stock exit, and operational performance. You'll manage a team of analysts, set the direction for how data is used across Commercial Ops, and partner closely with stakeholders in Trading, Pricing, Commercial Ops, and Supply Chain.

The Role
What You'll Do
  1. Lead the analytics roadmap for Commercial Operations across pricing, stock exit, margin performance, and trading analytics.
  2. Manage, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Analysts (mid and senior levels).
  3. Partner with stakeholders across Trading, Pricing, Commercial Ops, and Supply Chain to shape priorities and drive impact through data.
  4. Ensure delivery of dashboards and tools in Metabase that enable better decision-making on pricing, promotions, and markdowns.
  5. Own planning and prioritisation across analytics workstreams, coordinating delivery with the BI and Data Engineering teams.
  6. Guide deep-dive analysis into pricing performance, margin impact, and stock clearance effectiveness.
  7. Ensure high standards in analytics output, including documentation, scalability, and reproducibility.
  8. Influence strategy by embedding data in key commercial forums and decision cycles.
  9. Champion the use of data across the commercial org, raising data literacy and coaching stakeholders on how to use insights.
  10. Work with a modern data stack, including Redshift, BigQuery, Matillion, and Retool.
Location

This role is based in Nuneaton or London and is required to occasionally travel to other H&B locations. We support flexible and hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office.

What We're Looking For
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and grow a team of analysts, fostering a culture of delivery, curiosity, and collaboration.
  • Commercial analytics expertise: Deep understanding of trading, pricing, margin, and product lifecycle in retail.
  • Stakeholder influence: Trusted partner to Heads of Trading, Pricing, and Commercial Ops; capable of translating business needs into analytical strategies.
  • Delivery ownership: Skilled in managing multiple workstreams, resource alignment, and delivering through others.
  • Technical understanding: Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools like Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Visualization skills: Ability to design clear, usable dashboards in Metabase or similar tools.
  • Communication: Capable of presenting complex insights clearly at all levels, from squad to executive.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across functions with BI, Supply, Product, and Data teams to develop scalable data solutions.
  • Education & Experience: Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering, with 6+ years of analytics experience including 2-4 years in management or stakeholder-facing roles, preferably in retail or commercial operations.
