Job summary

Oxford Brookes University is a forward-thinking institution in Oxford. A Senior Data Analyst will produce high-quality analysis to inform equality of opportunity initiatives and support decision-making across the university.

You will work with the Performance Analysis and Modelling Manager to inform strategy, reporting and management information for access and participation initiatives, with opportunities for professional development and a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a subject with numerical and analytical content.
• Extensive experience in advanced quantitative data analysis and modelling; handling complex datasets.
• Proven ability to present results, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Experience managing ad hoc projects.
• Ability to undertake statistical analysis and explain implications clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills with statistics, spreadsheets and presentations (SPSS, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Analyse student data and trends to understand access by underrepresented groups.
• Produce reports and forecasts to support decisions on recruitment, success and progression.
• Provide expert advice on performance measures and sector developments.
