Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to analyse training, safety and operational data, identifying trends and actionable insights for senior decision-makers. You will develop dashboards and visualisations using Power BI and Excel, mentor colleagues, promote data quality and data-driven improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Data Analyst or BI role in a complex organisation.
• Clear ability to collect, cleanse, validate and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Proven track record creating dashboards and visuals with Power BI and Excel.
• Strong data modelling, architecture and data quality management understanding.
• Experience communicating technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics and data pipelines is a plus.

Requirements

• Appropriate qualification in a data-related subject (such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience in a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence or data-focused analytical role within a complex organisation
• Strong skills in collecting, cleansing, validating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources
• Advanced experience creating dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and Excel
• Good understanding of data modelling, databases, data architecture and data quality management principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, explain performance and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics, data pipelines and the data requirements needed to support AI solutions
• Experience mentoring colleagues and confidently communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level
