Pascal Golec, Team Lead Data Science: ‘At the Lotteries I can combine data analysis and discussions with knowledgeable colleagues to help our charities on a daily basis. A win-win situation for me to work on this with my team.’

As Senior Data Analyst, you’ll:
  • Find meaning in large datasets in marketing and customer behavior (both online and offline) and deduce insights from millions of data points.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across five countries and various departments (marketing, financial controllers, developers).
  • Make an impact by delivering and presenting meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest analytics and market developments and share this knowledge with your team.
  • Create probability calculations and simulations for lotteries, games, and TV programs, providing statistical advice for new formats.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

  • You have a university degree (BSc or higher) with a strong quantitative focus.
  • You have a passion for data and fact-based decision-making and are numerically adept.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, can present findings clearly with visualizations, and engage stakeholders.
  • You are capable of leading long-term projects and delivering regular, useful insights.
  • You are a strong programmer in SQL and R/Python.
About us:

The Postcode Lottery Group is a marketing-driven international non-profit organization. We operate lotteries to raise funds for a fairer, greener, and healthier world. Our players win with their neighbors and generate money for charities—a win-win!

Since 1989, we’ve raised over €12.6 billion for good causes. We are the third-largest private charitable donor worldwide. Working with 1,448 team members across Great Britain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and Norway, you’ll help build a better world every day!

About the team:

The Postcode Lottery Group is establishing an International Analytics Hub to develop models, tools, technology, and best practices to support our growth. In this hub, you'll work on exciting BI, data, and AI projects that make a real difference for lotteries and beneficiary organizations.

This will make you happy:
  • A monthly salary between €4,900 and €6,800, a variable year-end bonus, excellent pension scheme, 28 days’ holiday based on a 40-hour week, and flexible hours.
  • Ongoing professional and personal development through our Lottery Academy and internal growth opportunities.
  • Working in a sustainable building near Amsterdam Zuid station, with an NS Business Card for free travel across the Netherlands.
  • Celebrating successes with colleagues and charity partners through monthly events.
  • Access to free fitness classes, an employee running group, and discounts at over 150 museums, theaters, and cinemas.
  • Full salary during childbirth and parental leave.
  • Opportunities to engage with charity work through project visits, talks, and volunteering days.
