Job description

Business Unit: Chief Data Office
Salary range: £43,200 to £54,000 Per Annum DOE
Location: UK Hybrid – travel to a hub location twice a year
Contract type: Permanent – Full Time

Our Team

Data Platforms and Engineering partner with all areas of the bank to deliver data solutions utilising new technologies and strategies that underpin the Bank of the Future. We’re responsible for developing key strategic data platforms that help support and drive both business and regulatory strategic outcomes.

You’ll provide a level of technical analysis support to help shape the delivery of projects and ensure that projects protect the integrity of, and enhance, technical assets in the enterprise data space. You’ll also be expected to contribute to the initial shaping of projects and the delivery of valid estimates for the further delivery of any Data Solutions components within a project.

What you’ll be doing

  • Requirement analysis on complex data-driven changes across the Bank’s landscape involving integration, data warehousing, cloud and master data management technologies
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to fully understand their requirements - look for innovative solutions to improving Customer Experience
  • Producing data requirement specifications & process flows (business and data)
  • Creating source to target data mappings including metadata
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure they have the necessary support to deliver to the quality required
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and consultant, provide coaching, deliver guidance and support for complex projects, ensuring application of best practice (processes and methodologies) reuse and agility

We need you to have

  • Experience of translating complex business requirements into quality technical/design requirements
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills with your peers and business stakeholders
  • Experience in Production of Source to Target Mappings as well as Production of Logical Data Models to facilitate database design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of performing data analysis, preferably using oracle database systems

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience using Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Understanding of Data modelling and associated technologies
