We send around two million holidaymakers on their dream breaks every year. And we're still growing.

Powered by our deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit, proprietary tech, curiosity and our incredible people, we're accelerating - delivering best in class technology, the ultimate holiday app, and experiences that keep our customers coming back for more.

Ready to build the future of travel with us?

About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, your primary mission is to drive the data strategy for our Search & Personalisation product squad, diving deep into search intent, algorithmic performance, and personalisation logic. In this position, you'll be a strategic partner throughout the product development journey, moving beyond simple reporting to spark ideas, shape hypotheses on search relevancy, and define success metrics for search performance. You'll bring data to life, challenging assumptions and driving continuous improvement through rigorous A/B testing and experimentation of search results and recommendations.

As a senior member of the analytics function, you'll act as a role model within the team, sharing best practice and mentoring others through example, while staying focused on delivering excellence within the Search & Personalisation domain.

What you’ll be doing day to day
  • Acting as the go-to technical expert for the Search domain, specialising in search relevancy, zero-result analysis, and personalisation logic.
  • Contributing to best practice within the team, sharing standardised technical approaches where useful, and supporting a best-in-class data environment.
  • Writing expert-level SQL queries via Google BigQuery and Notebooks to derive complex insights, focusing on query performance and user retrieval patterns.
  • Collaborating regularly with Product and Engineering Managers to help them track the metrics that matter, and help them understand how their products and features are performing.
  • Collaborating with researchers to interpret qualitative data, piecing together the full picture of the customer holiday researching journey to bridge the gap between user intent and search results.
  • Creating and configuring advanced dashboards to effectively report Search KPIs (CTR, Ranking Position,Zero-Results) for decision making.
  • Designing and interpreting A/B tests across search and personalisation, identifying what’s worth testing and making evidence-based recommendations on what the team should test next.
  • Leading complex investigations with a methodical, best-practice approach to ensure high-quality output.
You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience

As an advocate for a data-informed mindset, your mission is to elevate the culture of data analysis and experimentation to new heights.

We are looking for an individual with a curious and problem-solving mindset, accompanied by a strong passion and eagerness to learn all aspects of working with data-ranging from hands-on experience with technical ETL pipelines to engaging in strategic discussions about how we make our user experience more relevant for individual users.

The ability to embrace customer centricity, stepping into the shoes of our customers, is not just encouraged but essential for success in this role.

  • Expert SQL Proficiency: Comfortable writing complex, efficient queries to handle large datasets in BigQuery.
  • Search & Personalisation Experience: Strong working knowledge of analysing the performance of search algorithms, recommendation engines, and personalisation models.
  • Technical Analysis & Statistics: Strong technical skills in data analysis and statistics, particularly in evaluating ranking quality.
  • Data Visualisation: Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker / Looker Studio).
  • Storytelling: Comfortable storytelling with data to influence product roadmaps.
  • A/B Testing & Experimentation: Experience designing tests, interpreting significance and results, and recommending what the team should test next.
What to expect from our interview process

We’ll run a 3 stage interview process, one stage of which may be an in-person interview at our fabulous Aeroworks office in Manchester city centre.

After a call with our Talent Team, the interview process will be:

  1. 1st stage - 1 hour with the hiring Manager on Google Meets
  2. 2nd stage - 1 hour with 2 Senior Analysts for a technical discussion on Google Meets
  3. 3rd stage - 1 hour with the Hiring Manager & Senior Product Manager for a technical presentation in person

We want to make sure everybody has the opportunity to perform at their best. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the interview process please let the Talent Acquisition team know and they will be happy to assist.
